Finding My One Tru Love

I love my job. I mean day in and day out, being the principal of a leading brokerage in the Phoenix real estate market has proven to be the perfect career choice for me. If I had to do it all over again, I’d be right where I am, doing exactly what I’m doing and with the exact same people that I’m able to do it with.

Except maybe Robert Joffe.

I’d make him my personal assistant and I would give him super challenging Starbucks orders every day and then hardly drink them at all. That’s one thing I might change.

Not everyone can say that. I have such a strong passion for real estate that I know I’m doing the right thing for me, my family and the wonderfully gifted people at Tru Realty.

What I Love About the Real Estate Business

I have a laundry list of the favorite things I love about my job:

  • Meeting one on one with agents
  • Recruiting ASREB graduates who need mentoring and coaching in real estate
  • Technical support and perhaps a little motivation
  • Recruiting seasoned agents that love what we do and how we do it here at Tru Realty
  • I love purchase contracts, which I know is weird, but not weirder than having Robert Joffe get my coffee

I also really love finding the perfect home in Phoenix for someone and affecting their lives in a positive way or selling a home and elevating the seller’s life in a big way. That’s an amazing feeling for me.

There’s so much I love about this career that I could go on and on. I will give one other important part of my job that outshines them all. Having a successful and dynamic real estate brokerage allows me to give back to my community. Whether that means giving time or money, the ability to positively affect our community is a very important component of our core values at Tru Realty.

Honestly, the hardest thing I have to do is write this blog. It’s been almost a year now and my takeaway on blogs is just how challenging it is to write about topics that let people into your life, your business and your perspective on both of those.

I would say that I’ve gone from feeling a little vulnerable and dreading the time it takes to write a blog to enjoying the opportunity to share my feelings. I’m finding it as a great way to express myself and to better communicate the many great things we have going on here at Tru Realty.

The only thing I don’t have yet is a high profile competitor to get my coffee for me.
