It’s Inman Connect week. I’m thrilled for a busy week in San Francisco giving speeches, networking, and sharing knowledge with my peers. I cherish the time I’ll spend with some of the most successful real estate professionals in the country. I am honored to teach but humbled to learn in what I think is one of the best real estate conferences in our industry.
The Inman Connect conference is a whirlwind of events with thousands of people learning about the newest trends in technology, marketing, and progressive business models that are impacting the real estate industry nationwide. I appreciate the chance to have a dialogue with other brokers and agents from markets outside of Phoenix that have the abundance of opportunity that I feel we have. I also look forward to discussing solutions to the challenges we face as real estate agents and brokers. Inman Connect opens the door to great new products, ideas, and friends that are willing to collaborate in a big way.
I’ll sidebar my observation here that it didn’t take a marketing genius to title this event Inman Connect. Essentially, that’s what it is … a week of connecting with the real estate industry; the people, the products, the places that make our industry so amazing.
Real estate can be an industry where teamwork and conformity give way to individualism. This conference allows for those who blazed trails in real estate to share their success. I plan on doing more listening than talking despite the handful of speeches they have me scheduled to give. You see, as much as I like to think of myself as a wildly successful trailblazer in our industry, I’m most certainly aware that I got here thanks to the many people who shared their ideas, their enthusiasm and their passion for this business that I love so much.
This conference is the time and place for me to reinvigorate my goals while assessing the path that we’ve forged for Tru Realty. The past three years of growth has been phenomenal but they don’t stay that way by being complacent.
Connections are a fundamental principle of our brokerage. We help each other grow through mentorship, training, and idea sharing that stimulates our personal brand as real estate agents and our collective brand as a brokerage. My time at Inman Connect will afford me the resources I need to fuel our growth, our success, and our destiny as one of the preeminent real estate brokerages in Arizona.

Sarah C. Richardson is one of the preeminent leaders of residential real estate in Arizona. As the CEO and founder of Tru Realty, she is responsible for both the daily operations and oversight of the multiple growth strategies that the brokerage carries out. Sarah launched Tru Realty in 2010 as a way to serve a marketplace that was seeing a shift from auction centric fix/flips to an MLS flow. She is now rethinking the way her brokerage uses technology to better serve clients and agents alike.
