Tru Realty has put diversity at the forefront of our corporate structure. It certainly doesn’t hurt to start at the top with a woman serving as the designated broker and CEO. This woman has worked furiously to create growth and to do so with an eye for a workforce that is representative of our community. We purposefully target talented, hard-working agents with a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities, and orientations. We’ve been able to build a brokerage that effectively understands the “Tru” world in which we live and do business in.
A diverse workplace makes Tru Realty a more attractive brokerage for the caliber of people we want to work with. Our agents are aided in their development as representatives of our brand by interacting with peers that are different from them. This also creates a work environment that subsequently enhances our ability to attract more of the talent that you may not see in other brokerages.
I want our brokerage to be known for embracing diversity and all the advantages that come from it. To me, fair employment practices equate to a company that embraces fairness in all aspects of business.
Diversity in the workforce also brings with it the ability to generate better customer service for our valued clients. Varying perspectives lend themselves to improved problem-solving. It also enhances your communication with a client base that is also diverse. This puts your client at ease and makes for a better real estate experience for all involved.
Realtors, especially younger ones, are striving to use their experience to learn and grow their real estate business. The diversity at Tru Realty is just one of the many advantages we offer. If there’s one thing this woman won’t stand for it’s the “status quo” way of doing things. Surrounding ourselves with all types of people creates an environment that excels at serving all types of people. I won’t have it any other way.

As the CEO and founder of Tru Realty, she is responsible for both the daily operations and oversight of the multiple growth strategies that the brokerage carries out. Sarah launched Tru Realty in 2010 as a way to serve a marketplace that was seeing a shift from auction centric fix/flips to an MLS flow. She is now rethinking the way her brokerage uses technology to better serve clients and agents alike.
